Baseball Recap: Westview Wolverines vs. Columbus Discoverers

While Westview's victory against Columbus wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wolverines narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Discoverers 5-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolverines.

Landen Bader looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ryan Colliers was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Mitchell Piatt, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Westview's record is now 20-11. As for Columbus, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-14.
