Softball Recap: Bowie Takes a Loss

After flying high against Liberty-Eylau last Tuesday, Bowie came back down to earth. The Bowie Pirates fell just short of the Bloomburg Wildcats by a score of 7-6 on Friday. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Abigail Dial was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI. Those triples marked the first that she hit this season.

Bowie's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Bloomburg, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Bowie will challenge Pewitt at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bowie is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season. As for Bloomburg, they will take on Trinity Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
