Volleyball Recap: Selinsgrove Comes Up Short

The Selinsgrove Seals lost 3-0 to the South Williamsport Mountaineers on Tuesday.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: South Williamsport scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-17, 25-20.

Madelyn Martin paced Selinsgrove's offense, picking up two kills. Martin got some help from Adriana Valentin and her three assists. Valentin was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Selinsgrove's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for South Williamsport, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Looking ahead, Selinsgrove will be playing in front of their home fans against Hanover Area at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Williamsport, they will venture away from home to challenge Our Lady of Lourdes Regional at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
