Lamar came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Ellicott Thunderhawks 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Thunder also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Lamar was: they took every set by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-11, 25-12.

Their offense was headlined by Lisette Frias and Addy Krug, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Abygail Gonzales and her 15 assists. Frias was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Lamar's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Ellicott, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lamar is set to take on their familiar foe Banning Lewis Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Ellicott will face off against rival Manitou Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
