Parkview Adventist Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They had just enough and edged the Mercy School Institute Mustangs out 55-53. For Parkview Adventist Academy, this counts as revenge for the 61-44 victory Mercy School Institute walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2023.
Mercy School Institute's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Taim Salkini, who had 18 points, and Laith Alkalani, who had 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hud Abdulhakim, who had eight points.
Mercy School Institute now has a losing record at 1-2.
Parkview Adventist Academy will square off against Family of Faith Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mercy School Institute, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on ASTEC Charter at 7:00 p.m. on December 6th.
