Volleyball Recap: Port Clinton Redskins vs. Edison Chargers
Port Clinton extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 4-12. They lost 3-0 to the Edison Chargers. The Redskins were not able to make up for their defeat to the Chargers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.
Marissa Frohne paced Port Clinton's offense, picking up eight kills. Frohne got some help from Evalee Cross and her 13 assists. Ella Carmon controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
As for Edison, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-9. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 6th (when they won 3-0).
Edison's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Stella Brown led the charge by getting 14 digs and four aces. That's the most digs Brown has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Moore, who had 17 digs and two assists.
Port Clinton has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Huron on the 25th. As for Edison, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Margaretta on the 25th.
