Merced is 8-1 against Los Banos since August of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bears will head out on the road to take on the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Merced lost 3-0 to El Capitan on Tuesday. The Bears have struggled against the Gauchos recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-10, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Los Banos didn't have quite enough to beat Atwater on Tuesday and fell 3-2.

Los Banos wouldn't go down easily and took Atwater into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-15, 20-25, 25-21, 15-13.

Merced's loss dropped their record down to 11-17. As for Los Banos, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-14.

Merced took their win against Los Banos in their previous matchup on October 7th by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
