Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for East Longmeadow

East Longmeadow came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Chicopee Comp Colts. This was payback for the Spartans, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

While East Longmeadow won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-14, 29-27.

Autumn Brockett paced East Longmeadow's offense, picking up 13 kills. Brockett got some help from Sophie Lalchandani and her 20 assists. Brockett was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

East Longmeadow's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Chicopee Comp, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Longmeadow will head out to square off against Central at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Chicopee Comp, they will venture away from home to challenge Holyoke at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
