Preview: McEwen Warriors vs. Stewart County Rebels
The McEwen Warriors will be home for the holidays to greet the Stewart County Rebels at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in McEwen's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Stewart County has been banged up by 16 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Last Thursday, McEwen took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 75-34 win over Waverly Central. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory McEwen has managed all season.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Stewart County, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 71-54 loss to Cheatham County Central on Tuesday. Stewart County has not had much luck with Cheatham County Central recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
McEwen's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Stewart County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
Everything went McEwen's way against Stewart County in their previous meeting back in November as McEwen made off with a 78-56 victory. Will McEwen repeat their success, or does Stewart County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
