Recap: Harding Presidents vs. Bridgeport Central Hilltoppers
This season hasn't been kind to the Harding Presidents, who are still winless after their sixth game. They took a serious blow against Bridgeport Central on Saturday, falling 61-32. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Harding in their matchups with Bridgeport Central: they've now lost three in a row.
Kai Clarke continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bridgeport Central, scoring 25 points along with five assists and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Clarke has scored all season. Amaya Womack was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
Harding bumped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.1 points per game. As for Bridgeport Central, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
