Softball Recap: Bluffton Takes a Loss

Bluffton was the 11-6 winner over Daleville when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers lost 19-12 to the Broncos on Saturday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Konley Ault and Averi Petty did some serious damage despite the final result: Ault went 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Petty went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Tressa Renner, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Bluffton's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Daleville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

While Bluffton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
