Baseball Game Preview: Webster County Trojans vs. Henderson County Colonels

For the second straight game, Webster County will face off against Henderson County. The Trojans will take on the Colonels at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Webster County is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Henderson County a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck.

On Wednesday, Webster County came up short against Henderson County and fell 6-2.

For Henderson County's part, Cole Thompson tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Thompson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hunter Evans was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Tucker Siewert was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Webster County now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Henderson County, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-12.
