Volleyball Recap: Scott Comes Up Short

Scott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Steele Comets. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the Comets from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-11, 25-19.

Steele's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joe Penano, who had ten assists and five aces. With that strong performance, Penano is now averaging an impressive 2.2 aces per game. Jake Penano was another key player, getting nine digs and three aces.

Scott's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Steele, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Coming up, Scott is taking a road trip to face off against Springfield at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Steele, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Perrysburg at 6:00 p.m. on April 3.
