Basketball Game Preview: Terrell Academy Eagles vs. Citizens Christian Academy Patriots

Having just played yesterday, the Terrell Academy Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Citizens Christian Academy Patriots at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Terrell Academy is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Southwest Georgia Academy just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 49-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Eagles came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Warriors are ranked 218th).

Meanwhile, Citizens Christian Academy ended up a good deal behind Deerfield-Windsor on Friday and lost 65-50. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Citizens Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Terrell Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Terrell Academy came up short against Citizens Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 55-48. Can Terrell Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
