Soccer Game Preview: Pinkston vs. A Plus Academy

The Pinkston Vikings will head out on the road to take on the A Plus Academy Knights at 2:30 p.m. on Monday.

On Saturday, Pinkston didn't have quite enough to beat North Dallas and fell 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 463rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 193rd).

Meanwhile, A Plus Academy hasn't lost a match since February 1st, a trend which continued in their latest game on Saturday. They never let Lincoln get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. The Knights have beaten the Tigers the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.

A Plus Academy's win bumped their record up to 11-3-3. As for Pinkston, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7-1.

Pinkston beat A Plus Academy by a goal in their previous meeting back in February, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pinkston since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
