Softball Recap: Buckingham Charter Knights vs. Millennium Falcons

Buckingham Charter extended their postseason success on Thursday against Millennium. They skirted past the Millennium Falcons 5-3. The victory was nothing new for Buckingham Charter as they're now sitting on 11 straight.

Haley Griffin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Griffin has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive pitching appearances. Griffin was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jordan Walberg, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, three RBI, and a run. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played.

On Millennium's side, Jocelyn Hernandez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
