Round Rock Westwood came into Tuesday's matchup having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the McNeil Mavericks on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Warriors have posted since February 24th.

Kellen Szymanski looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-7. As for McNeil, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
