Basketball Recap: Lanier Takes a Loss

Lanier lost against Gainesville back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lanier Longhorns took a blow against the Gainesville Red Elephants, falling 76-30. The match marked the Longhorns' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Lanier and nudges their season record down to 10-11. As for Gainesville, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Lanier will square off against Milton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gainesville, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Chattahoochee at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Gainesville will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
