East Davidson hasn't had much luck against West Davidson recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Golden Eagles will look to defend their home field against the Dragons at 6:00 p.m. East Davidson is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.
East Davidson barely beat South Davidson the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Golden Eagles put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 16-2 win on Thursday. Considering the Golden Eagles have won eight matches by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

On the hitting side, East Davidson let Kenzi Cribb and Natalie Holt run wild. Cribb went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one triple, while Holt went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs Cribb has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Leah Smith, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
East Davidson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Davidson only posted an OBP of .385.
Meanwhile, West Davidson has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 3.45 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They came up short against Reagan, falling 11-4. The Dragons' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
West Davidson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abigail Leonard, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
East Davidson's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for West Davidson, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. East Davidson has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.4 hits per game. However, it's not like West Davidson struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
