Stover posted their closest win since September 14, 2024 on Saturday. They skirted past the Lafayette Fighting Irish 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Stover who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 19-25, 25-13.

Rory Pinzke paced Stover's offense, picking up 14 kills. Pinzke got some help from Kennedy Worthley and her 26 assists. Pinzke also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lainee Menning, racking up four apiece.

The victory got Stover back to even at 3-3. As for Lafayette, they dropped their record down to 3-4 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Stover has already played their next match, a 1-1 draw against Northland Christian on the 13th. As for Lafayette, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Trenton on the 13th.
