Softball Recap: Scotland Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Scotland couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Rockingham County Cougars by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-2 on Friday.

Scotland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Sampson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Scotland and nudges their season record down to 29-3. As for Rockingham County, the win was the 27th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 28-1.

As of now, neither Scotland nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
