Basketball Recap: Fabian Priestley's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Providence Classical Christian over Milledgeville Athletic Club

After flying high against Scholars Guild Academy on Thursday, Providence Classical Christian came back down to earth. The Warriors fell 54-41 to the Milledgeville Athletic Club Bears on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 64-51 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Fabian Priestley, who posted 11 points. Walker Atkins was another key player, putting up ten points.

Milledgeville Athletic Club's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Skylar Bostic, who had 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Branden Conner, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 13 boards.

Providence Classical Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Providence Classical Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-60 defeat against Community Christian on the 17th. As for Milledgeville Athletic Club, they have also already played their next game, a 65-42 victory against Augusta E on the 11th.
