Baseball Game Preview: Palmyra-Eagle Panthers vs. Johnson Creek Bluejays

For the second straight game, Palmyra-Eagle will face off against Johnson Creek. The Panthers will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Bluejays at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Palmyra-Eagle 3.6, Johnson Creek 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Palmyra-Eagle is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Johnson Creek on Tuesday. They came up short against the Bluejays, falling 9-1. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Bluejays: they've now lost four in a row.

Palmyra-Eagle saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Brodzik, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Dillen Patrick also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Johnson Creek's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Palmyra-Eagle, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-3.
