Softball Preview: Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons vs. Christian County Colonels

The Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons will head out on the road to square off against the Christian County Colonels at 6:00 p.m. Madisonville-North Hopkins will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Madisonville-North Hopkins put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They blew past Hopkins County Central 8-2.

Sadie Kirk was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits (and not a single walk). Kirk has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances. Kirk was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Everything went Madisonville-North Hopkins' way against Christian County in their previous meeting back in March of 2023 as Madisonville-North Hopkins made off with a 9-2 win.
