Basketball Recap: Burney Raiders vs. Willows Honkers
Burney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 51-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Willows Honkers.
Despite the loss, Burney saw an underclassman step up: sophomore James Fields dropped a double-double on 17 points and 16 rebounds. Fields is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least ten every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Von Schalscha, who had seven points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.
Burney's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Willows, the win snapped their losing streak at five games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-4 record.
