Basketball Recap: Mortimer Jordan Takes a Loss

If Mortimer Jordan was riding high fresh off their 74-40 takedown of Addison last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mortimer Jordan Blue Devils lost to the Pelham Panthers on the road by a 75-56 margin on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Mortimer Jordan's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Pelham, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mortimer Jordan won't have much time to rest: their next game is against West Point at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mortimer Jordan knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully West Point likes a good challenge. As for Pelham, they will be home for the holidays to greet Woodlawn at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
