Volleyball Recap: Richland Takes a Loss

Richland came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Bald Eagle Area Eagles, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in October.

Richland was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Bald Eagle Area work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 27-25, 25-20.

Addison Hirsch paced Richland's offense, picking up 15 kills. Hirsch got some help from Brooklyn Roberts and her 15 assists. Addison Manges controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Bald Eagle Area was led to victory by Nora Eppley and Kinsey Clark. Eppley had 14 digs, while Clark had three digs and two aces. Clark has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Richland's defeat dropped their record down to 31-5-2. As for Bald Eagle Area, they pushed their record up to 26-7-2 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Richland nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
