Ellsworth won the last time they faced Lyons and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bearcats came out on top against the Lions by a score of 2-0.

Ellsworth never let Lyons on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-12, 26-24.

Ellsworth's offense was headlined by Elyse Haxton and Alexis Moore, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Kinly Place and her 14 assists. Reagan Hansen controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Ellsworth's win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Lyons, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-13.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Ellsworth beat the Lions by a score of 2-0 later that day.
