Soccer Game Preview: Jeff Davis vs. Worth County

The Jeff Davis Yellowjackets will challenge the Worth County Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Jeff Davis' defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They came out on top against Coffee by a score of 2-0. Given Jeff Davis' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 125th, while Coffee are ranked 353rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Worth County had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.3 goals) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Packers.

Brooklyn Youngblood and Shermiah Donaldson scored all three of Worth County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 35 goals.

Jeff Davis' win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those five games. As for Worth County, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.
