Illini Bluffs's season-opener on Monday wasn't quite what the team was looking for considering the end result. Neither they nor the Bloomington Central Catholic Saints could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. Illini Bluffs had to tread lightly for part of the matchup as Judd Vice and Carson Rademaker were both handed yellow cards, which could explain the final result.

Looking ahead, Illini Bluffs will take on Monmouth-Roseville in a tournament on Friday. As for Bloomington Central Catholic, they will welcome Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
