Soccer Game Preview: Easley vs. Greenville

Easley hasn't had much luck against Greenville recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Green Wave will host the Red Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Easley headed into their last contest having not scored more than one goal for six straight, but Woodmont let them put that streak behind them. The Green Wave never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with a 6-0 win on Tuesday. Olivia Hazel was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Greenville faced J.L. Mann in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Red Raiders who were credited with the victory. Greenville got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to J.L. Mann's two. The win was nothing new for Greenville as they're now sitting on five straight.

Greenville's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those seven games. As for Easley, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
