Baseball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Rosewood

Rosewood won the last time they faced Neuse Charter and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Eagles put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 13-3 victory. Considering the Eagles have won four matches by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Graham Lassiter, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Lund, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Rosewood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Neuse Charter only posted an OBP of .381.

Rosewood's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Neuse Charter, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Rosewood wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against North Duplin on the 27th. As for Neuse Charter, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-6 defeat against Lakewood on the 27th.
