On Thursday, it was close, but Lincoln sidestepped Lakes for a 9-7 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Abes.

Meanwhile, while it was North Thurston who put the first runs on the board on Saturday, it was Black Hills who put up more. The Rams lost 23-14 to the Wolves. The Rams have struggled against the Wolves recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.
Sara Halterman led a balanced group of hitters, going 1-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last three times she's played. Saidee Trolson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Lincoln pushed their record up to 4-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for North Thurston, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Lincoln has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .466. However, it's not like North Thurston struggles in that department as they've averaged .449. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Lincoln suffered a grim 15-2 defeat to North Thurston in their previous matchup back in May of 2016. Can the Abes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
