Volleyball Recap: Newport Harbor Starts Season with Victory at Home

Newport Harbor gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Aliso Niguel Wolverines with a sharp 3-0 win. This was payback for the Sailors, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Newport Harbor took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-12, 25-12.

Newport Harbor will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Dana Hills at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Aliso Niguel, they will welcome Vista Murrieta at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
