Nipomo came tearing into Tuesday's contest with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Templeton Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Nipomo had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-21, 25-13, 25-13.

Nipomo found their leader in sophomore Tasi Maumausolo Matagi, who had 18 digs.

Nipomo was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in seven consecutive matchups.

Nipomo's victory bumped their record up to 21-5. As for Templeton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 15 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-18 record this season.

Nipomo will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Arroyo Grande at 6:00 p.m. As for Templeton, they will venture away from home to take on San Luis Obispo at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
