Baseball Recap: Del Norte Knights vs. Eldorado Eagles
Del Norte extended their losing streak to seven on Monday, dropping them down to 2-11. They lost 26-3 to the Eldorado Eagles. The Knights were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in March of 2022.
As for Eldorado, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season. Considering they have won nine contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
For Eldorado's part, Kaidan Krenik made a big impact no matter where he played. In other batting news, Eldorado got a massive performance out of Maddox Gonzales, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two RBI, and one double. Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Del Norte will take on Albuquerque Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 11.6 runs per game this season. As for Eldorado, they will challenge Albuquerque at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
