Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah hasn't had much luck against Manitowoc Lutheran recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Resorters will challenge the Lancers at 5:00 p.m. Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.
While Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on Central Wisconsin Christian with a sharp 11-1 victory on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Resorters as they're now sitting on three straight.
Brennen Goble was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over six innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Manitowoc Lutheran struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah came up short against Manitowoc Lutheran in their previous meeting last Tuesday, falling 6-3. Can the Resorters avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
