Softball Recap: Tidehaven Takes a Loss

Tidehaven lost against Ganado back in February of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kayleigh Nash was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Ariana Lara also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Tidehaven's defeat dropped their record down to 18-13. As for Ganado, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5-1 record this season.

Tidehaven and Ganado are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Tigers will be playing at home against Poth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tidehaven's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Ganado, they will challenge Refugio at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight.
