Softball Game Preview: Geneva Panthers vs. Providence Christian Eagles

The Geneva Panthers will head out to face off against the Providence Christian Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Geneva will be strutting in after a win while Providence Christian will be coming in after a defeat.

Providence Christian will be up against a hot Geneva squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Geneva came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 11-10 W against Charles Henderson. The Panthers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Providence Christian lost 11-5 to Zion Chapel on Friday.

Geneva's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Providence Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Geneva came out on top in a nail-biter against Providence Christian in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, sneaking past 10-9. The rematch might be a little tougher for Geneva since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
