Baseball Recap: Danbury Takes a Loss

Danbury fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against St. Joseph on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cadets. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 21, 2021, but that streak is no more.

Danbury's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for St. Joseph, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Danbury is set to take on their familiar foe New Canaan at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, St. Joseph will square off against rival Stamford at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
