Volleyball Recap: Seven Straight Road Victories for Andrew Jackson Academy

Andrew Jackson Academy extended their road winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from McKinnley Beard. The Warriors skirted past the Branchville Yellow Jackets 3-2 for which the team can thank Beard, who had 25 kills, eight digs, four blocks, and four aces. She has been hot, having posted five or more kills the last eight times she's played.

Andrew Jackson Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 18-25, 23-25, 25-21, 25-16, 15-11.

Andrew Jackson Academy's win on Monday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bella Carrigg, who had 31 assists and five digs. That's the most digs Carrigg has posted since back in October of 2024. Ginny Ott was another key player, getting 18 digs and two assists.

Andrew Jackson Academy's victory bumped their record up to 24-7. As for Branchville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-8-1.

Coming up, Andrew Jackson Academy will face off against Colleton Prep Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Branchville, they will square off against Orangeburg-Wilkinson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
