Softball Recap: Northridge Takes a Loss

Northridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 15-5 to the Utica Redskins. The Vikings were not able to make up for their loss to the Redskins from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Northridge saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Camryn Moore, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Kaylee Goodwin also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Northridge's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Utica, they pushed their record up to 4-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Northridge will challenge rival Granville at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Utica is set to take on their familiar foe Licking Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
