Massac County entered their tilt with Carterville on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Lions. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kinley Logeman paced Massac County's offense, picking up ten kills. Logeman got some help from Hannah Edwards and her 16 assists. Logeman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Massac County's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Carterville, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Massac County will take on DuQuoin in a tournament on Saturday. As for Carterville, they will welcome Frankfort at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
