Volleyball Recap: Riceville Takes a Loss

Riceville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Crestwood Cadets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cadets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Saturday.

Riceville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Crestwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riceville will square off against Tripoli at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crestwood, they will face off against Waukon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
