Football Recap: Lakota East Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Lakota East, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They secured a 31-27 W over the Hamilton Big Blue on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Thunderhawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ryder Hooks had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 239 yards and two scores while picking up 10.4 yards per carry. Those two rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Carter Jones was another key player, picking up 42 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lakota East was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 233 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Lakota East pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.6 points over those games. As for Hamilton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
