Recap: Briarfield Academy Rebels vs. Central School Pioneers
The Briarfield Academy Rebels entered their tilt with the Central School Pioneers with ten consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 11. Briarfield Academy simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Central School 60-27 at home. Briarfield Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 21 points or more this season.
Despite the loss, Central School still got an impressive performance from Conway Whitlock, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. That was a full 74.1% of Central School's points, marking the 12th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Briarfield Academy's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1. As for Central School, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.
Briarfield Academy will stay at home for another game and welcome Northeast Baptist at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Northeast Baptist is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Central School, they will head out on the road to take on Riverdale Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
