Volleyball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Grace Christian

There's no place like home for Grace Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the United Christian Academy Crusaders with a sharp 3-0 victory on Friday. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Crusaders, too.

Grace Christian never let United Christian Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-23, 25-20.

Sara Young paced Grace Christian's offense, picking up five kills. Young got some help from Jessie Greenmun and her six assists. Ella Moffett controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Grace Christian pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. As for United Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Grace Christian will take on Timberlake Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for United Christian Academy, they will challenge Fresta Valley Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
