Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hammond). They took their matchup on Thursday with ease, bagging a 57-0 victory over the Cardinal Newman Cardinals. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Skyhawks' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 64th, while the Cardinals are ranked 207th).

Levi Myers had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 63 yards and three TDs on only six carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

The win (which was Hammond's fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 2.0 points on average over those games. As for Cardinal Newman, their loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

As of now, neither Hammond nor the Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
