Flagstaff has gone 10-0 against Mingus recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Flagstaff Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Mingus Marauders at 6:00 p.m. Flagstaff is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Flagstaff is headed into the contest having just posted their biggest win since October 9th on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Mohave with a sharp 3-0 victory.
One reason for the win was Flagstaff's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-10, 25-8.
Meanwhile, Mingus hadn't done well against Lee Williams recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Mingus won by a set and slipped past Lee Williams 3-2.
Mingus had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 23-25, 25-17, 25-20, 15-13.
Mingus can attribute much of their success to Megan Cluff, who had 24 digs.
