Baseball Game Preview: Pavilion Golden Gophers vs. Warsaw Tigers

Pavilion is 2-7 against Warsaw since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Golden Gophers are taking a road trip to face off against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Pavilion managed to slip by Le Roy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Golden Gophers lost 9-2 to the Oatkan Knights on Tuesday. The game marked the Golden Gophers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Warsaw fell victim to Caledonia-Mumford and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Raiders, falling 12-0. The Tigers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Pavilion's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Warsaw, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Pavilion couldn't quite get it done against Warsaw when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 4-0. Can the Golden Gophers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
